The Enduring Legacy of Hope: Dr. Jane Goodall’s Visit to AISB

09.10.2025

A Message of Future-Ready Today

Dr. Goodall arrived at our campus accompanied by "Mr. H.," the beloved monkey mascot gifted to her in 1996. This cherished traveler journeyed with her across over 65 countries, carrying a simple yet profound message: every single individual possesses the power to create meaningful change. This perfectly aligns with the AISB mission to empower learners to build their futures and contribute to a better world.

The impact of her visit resonated deeply with our community, inspiring students and educators alike. Students from the Hungarian Roots & Shoots chapter were on hand to greet her, embodying the spirit of our learners who are eager to become catalysts of positive change in the community and beyond.

A Living Reminder of Continuous Improvement

Dr. Goodall's legacy at AISB is not only preserved in memory but also in a living monument. A tree planted in her honor stands proudly at the entrance of our Elementary School (Building A). This tree is a living reminder of her vision and our school’s commitment to Sustainably, which is also a key pillar of our strategic plan.

Dr. Jane Goodall’s visit left an indelible mark on our community, one that still inspires our students, educators, and alumni. As we reflect on her passing, we carry forward her message with renewed commitment.

May her legacy guide us toward a more hopeful, sustainable future.
