The Global Impact Diploma (GID) is an international program that empowers students with agency, prioritizes wellbeing, and prepares learners to make a meaningful, positive impact in the world. The GID is designed for students who want to challenge themselves academically and are interested in building character, cultivating a sense of purpose, and solving real-world problems through innovative thinking. These learners value wellbeing as a core part of their learning journey, helping to build an inclusive and supportive learning environment where they can flourish mentally and emotionally. They seek out educational experiences that are not only challenging and relevant but also ensure equity and belonging, preparing them to navigate and positively impact an unpredictable and evolving world.

Leadership for Impact is a foundational course required for all students completing the Global Impact Diploma. This course is at the core of the GID experience. Not only will students learn how to lead their own learning, they will also be empowered to become effective collaborative leaders who can navigate and drive meaningful change. Near the end of the diploma journey, students complete an impact portfolio and exhibition to share their learning with others. The Impact Portfolio captures the student’s learning journey via a vibrant set of curated artifacts. The Impact Exhibition is a modern-day thesis defense during which you present your work to an authentic audience and take questions. External moderators verify that the portfolio and exhibition meet core expectations for the Impact Diploma.

Each Impact Diploma pathway is designed according to a student’s interests and needs. In order to pursue the GID, students choose an area of focus and design a personalized plan with their counselor and the Global Impact Diploma Coordinator. Some possible specializations include: business, hospitality, law, sustainability, etc. What will your impact be?
