Position Overview
AISB is seeking an experienced and innovative Digital, Product & Media Design Teacher to teach students across Grades 6–12. The successful candidate will be a versatile and reflective practitioner who is passionate about design, technology, and problem-solving, and who can engage students through inquiry-based learning. The role involves teaching some programming classes in high school and classes incorporating digital design, product design, media design, and computational thinking with opportunities to integrate robotics to middle and high school students. The ability to contribute to or teach IB Computer Science is considered an advantage as this is a course that could run if there is sufficient interest. Additionally, the teacher would also serve as part of a grade-level team in the advisory program, with responsibility for a small group of 10-12 students.

Qualifications & Experience
- Holds a valid teaching degree (or equivalent) in Design, Technology, Computer Science,
Engineering, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred) - Minimum of three (3) years’ experience teaching in international schools
- Recent experience teaching digital design, product design, media design, or related
subjects at the middle and high school levels - Recent experience teaching programming and digital technologies (e.g. Python,Scratch, web-based tools, CAD, physical computing platforms)
- Strong understanding of typical developmental characteristics of adolescents
- Experience with standards-based, criterion-referenced assessment practices
- High level of digital literacy and adaptability to emerging technologies
- Technology literate in Web and Google Applications and online learning management systems and curriculum documentation platforms
Preferred Skills and Experience
- Experience teaching or the ability to teach IB Computer Science or similar level courses
(AP, GCSE, etc.) - Experience with robotics and maker-centred learning environments
- Familiarity with design thinking methodologies
- Experience integrating technology across disciplines
- Experience working with diverse, multicultural student populations and experience
supporting English language learners - Experience with Course Management software (e.g., Veracross, Google Apps) and online
grading - Experience with Advisory and Community Service programs
- Demonstration of ongoing professional development in areas of best practice
Key Responsibilities
- Teach Digital, Product, and Media Design in grades 6-12. This could involve a middle school class and some high school classes. There may be an opportunity to Integrate robotics, and emerging technologies into design-based learning, depending on how the courses develop and evolve.
- Teach programming classes to high school students.

essential agreements into daily teaching and learning - Incorporate an inquiry-based stance to teaching within a standards-based curriculum
- Foster student creativity, collaboration, and real-world problem-solving
- Provide meaningful feedback that encourages growth and development
- Implement differentiation techniques for students who excel and for those who need additional support, including English language learners
- Contribute to curriculum development and ongoing program innovation
- Support interdisciplinary learning and collaborate with colleagues across subject areas
- Collaborate with divisional counselors and other teachers to ensure the social, emotional, and educational needs of students are met
- Create a learning environment that is inclusive, challenging, and supportive of diverse
learners - Implement school policies and procedures to support AISB’s Mission, Vision, and Values
- Maintain accurate and complete records of student progress and development and update learning units on school platforms
- Contribute positively to the wider life of the school, including advisory programs, extracurricular activities, and school events
- Perform additional duties effectively (during and outside the regular school day) as required by the school
